The festival will take place in April 2010 and will include:

• commercial films screened in unusual venues,
• art house films supported by lectures and discussions,
• film making careers sessions and
• a short film competition for young people, film students and local amateur film makers (see below).The festival is being put together by Croydon Council's arts and heritage division, in partnership with the Brit School, Croydon Stagecoach, Croydon Business Improvement District and local film making organisations Redbag Productions and New Treatment.

We hope that this festival will lead to a David Lean Cinema film club and a Croydon Filmmakers' Network, as well as many more exciting film events.
